Our experienced doctors work across two medical practices to ensure that our local community has as much access to quality care in South Brisbane as possible. We believe health care should be accessible and affordable. This means that you can access a range of medical services without having to pay high out-of-pocket expenses. Our services range from general check-ups and women’s health consultations to pathology, imaging and minor surgery. We also offer other services such as skin cancer checks, travel vaccinations and mental health treatment.

General Health Check-Ups
Our GPs can provide general health check-ups and assessments for children and adults, including clinical examinations, blood tests and vaccinations.
Mental Health Care
Our doctors have been trained to provide mental health care and support for conditions like depression, anxiety and stress. If necessary, we can also refer you to other mental health professionals.
Women’s Health Care
We provide a variety of services tailored specifically to the needs of women and have female doctors on staff for added comfort. We can offer advice and treatment for contraception, menopause, fertility and other women’s health issues.
Men’s Health Care
We provide a variety of services tailored specifically to the needs of men and have male doctors on staff for added comfort. We can help with issues like male reproductive health, prostate cancer, mental health and other men’s health concerns.
Skin Exams & Treatment
Our team can help with skin issues, growths, cancerous lesions and other skin conditions. We treat acne and other skin issues, as well as screenings for skin cancer and other preventative measures.
Mater Share Care
We have several doctors affiliated with Mater Mothers Hospital who can provide expecting mothers with shared antenatal and postnatal care. Our skilled doctors can advise and guide you through the process, giving you the best possible care for a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Paediatrics
We have several paediatricians on staff who specialise in child health care. Our team is here to provide the best care for your children, from well-baby check-ups to vaccinations and more. We also offer advice and guidance on raising healthy children, as well as nutrition assistance.
After Hours Doctors
Algester Medical Centre provides after-hours appointments and is open until 10:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. If you need a doctor’s appointment after hours, please call the National Home Doctor Service at 13 74 25 to arrange for a doctor to come to your house.
Pre-Employment Medicals
For individuals who are required to have certain medical tests performed as part of their job, we offer comprehensive and detailed pre-employment medical examinations. These may include audiograms, spirometry and vision tests.
Allied Health
We have visiting allied health professionals, including a dietician, who can assess and advise on a variety of health conditions. For more information, please contact our team.
Minor Procedures
Our health clinic can perform a variety of minor procedures, including skin lesion removal and wart removal. If necessary, we can also arrange for x-rays.
Nutritional Health
Dr. Badrul is a member of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and can provide patients dietary advice and prescribe nutritional supplements to help with the treatment of a variety of health problems.
Travel Vaccinations
For patients travelling overseas, we can provide vaccinations, advice and anti-malarial medications. Our team can assess your travel plans in detail and advise you on the necessary vaccinations and medications.
Worker’s Compensation
We provide a full range of occupational health services, including care for patients who have been injured at work. Payment for services will be sent directly to WorkCover for payment once your claim has been approved by WorkCover.
