Mater Shared Care
Shared maternity care means that a woman’s pregnancy care is shared between the Mater Mothers Hospital and a doctor or local midwife who is affiliated with the hospital. Shared maternity care is a popular option of care for healthy women with a normal pregnancy. We have several doctors who are aligned with Mater Mothers Hospital.
We offer Bulk Billed full body skin examinations. Doctors use a highly sophisticated skin cancer diagnostic tool (Molemax Machine) to view and monitor moles. . Procedures and excisions are performed on site by our highly qualified and experienced Doctors.

After Hours Doctors
Algester Medical Centre offer after hour appointments and is open till 10:00pm weekdays and Saturday & Sunday 8:00am – 2:00pm. If you require a doctor’s appointment outside our opening hours, please call the National Home Doctor Service. This is an After Hours Home Visit Service, please call 13 74 25 to arrange for a Doctor to visit you at home. National Home Doctor Service will send a report of their visit to our surgery, which will be stored in you electronic health file.

We offer a full range of occupational health including attending to patients who have been injured at work. Payment for services will be sent directly to WorkCover for payment. We support and encourage a positive partnership between employee & employer in managing you’re your injury, recovery and return to work. Accidents & Emergency’s
Our facility can accommodate minor accidents and emergency’s which will save you a trip to the hospital. Patients will be triaged and attended to accordingly. In the event we are unable to assist with treatment will arrange transport to the nearest hospital.
